Did You Know that the “mesh to file” functionality is very helpful to generate and export large models. This functionality is available in the “CFD tetramesh” as well as in the “tetramesh” panel from 11.0 on. As shown below, you can reduce the required memory by a factor of three when using the “mesh to file”. The volume mesh is not loaded into the HM database, it is directly written out to disk in nastran format together with a mesh statistic file (# elements, several element criteria) (October 16, 2012)
