In the material models definition we can use variable properties. One of these is specific heat.
If we switch from constant specific heat to piecewise linear enthalpy, we need to define the enthalpy – typically as a function of temperature – not specific heat.
If given the data for enthalpy vs temperature, all is good.
If given the data for specific heat vs temperature, we need to calculate the area under the specific-heat curve to get the enthalpy.
It is not simply specific heat * temperature, as that is only valid for constant specific heat.
