Altair University invites all students to join us for an exciting new global EDU Directed Learning webinar series beginning Tuesday January 26th. We will be hosting six new webinars focused on Inspire, OptiStruct, RADIOSS, Virtual Wind Tunnel and more. These sessions are open to any student and are especially relevant to students involved with Clean Snowmobile, Formula SAE, and Baja SAE. All webinar recordings will be available following each session to everyone who registered to attend. Attend one or attend all! Take a look at the upcoming schedule below and click on each session title to register today:

Conceptual Optimization Using Inspire

Tuesday, January 26, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

In this session, Altair’s Prashant Hiremath will be highlighting the optimization driven design process using solidThinking Inspire.  We will be learning how to create/import geometry, then set up the model for topology optimization, analyze the design concepts generated and then recreate geometry for final design. We will also be learning how to Nurbify a design, using the optimized results.

Optimization with OptiStruct

Thursday, January 28, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

Attendees will learn about the optimization and part design capabilities of Altair’s award winning software Optistruct. Live demonstrations will show the ease of setting up multiple optimization techniques using HyperMesh. Attend and see how Optistruct can help you make your designs stronger, lighter and more robust.

Introduction to Virtual Wind Tunnel

Tuesday, February 2, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

In this session, Madhura Karve will give overview of Altair’s Virtual Wind Tunnel (VWT) used for external aerodynamic analysis. Topics will include model preparation, design changes using morphing, solver technology (Navier-Stokes) and shape optimization.

Predictive Capabilities for Vehicle Dynamics & Durability

Thursday, February 4, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

This session will demonstrate the application of Altair HyperWorks to vehicle modeling for the disciplines of durability and vehicle dynamics. The MotionView and MotionSolve softwares are industry leading technologies for multibody dynamics modeling and have long been applied to these disciplines.

Durability Analysis with HyperWorks

Tuesday, February 9, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

In this session, Senior Application Engineer Ramandeep Gill will give an overview of the fatigue analysis capabilities in HyperWorks using stress-life and strain-life methods. Also featured will be optimization using HyperWorks and live demos of the Fatigue Process Manager for easy setup of fatigue analysis.

Crash Analysis with RADIOSS

Thursday, February 11, 2016 – 12 to 1:30 PM EST

In this session, Altair’s Senior Application Engineer Antoine Segnegon will highlight Altair Explicit Solver RADIOSS Capabilities. He will be doing live demonstrationsand demonstrate how to set up a front offset Impact Crash Analysis, as well as show some results in Altair’s postprocessing tools HyperView and HyperGraph.
