solidThinking Inspire for Design Optimization & Analysis

In this session, Prashant Hiremath will be highlighting the optimization driven design process using solidThinking Inspire.  We will be learning how to create/import geometry, then set up the model for topology optimization, analyze the design concepts generated and then recreate geometry for final design. We will also be learning how to Nurbify a design, using the optimized results.



OptiStruct for Composite Analysis & Optimization

This session will highlight the capabilities of Altair’s award winning solver technology found in OptiStruct. Live demonstrations will feature the Linear Analysis capabilities as well as the multi-disciplinary Optimization capabilities found in this industry leading software. Linear static, modal and buckling analysis as well as topology, topography, size, shape, free size and free shape optimization techniques will be shown.



OptiStruct for Structural Analysis & Optimization

This session will highlight composite modeling in HyperMesh and composite optimization using OptiStruct. Key aspects that will be covered are the ply based modeling method used to define composite models and an optimization methodology to generate efficient ply shapes, find the number of plies required and define an exact stacking sequence of plies. During the session, this optimization methodology will be applied to an I-Beam design, taking the initial concept level geometry to a fully defined composite finite element model which meets all the design requirements.


Crash Analysis using RADIOSS

In this session, Altair’s Senior Application Engineer Antoine Segnegon will highlight Altair Explicit Solver RADIOSS Capabilities. He will be doing live demonstrationsand demonstrate how to set up a front offset Impact Crash Analysis, as well as show some results in Altair’s postprocessing tools HyperView and HyperGraph.



Using Altair’s Systems Modeling Solutions for Vehicle Engineering

Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 12:00PM EST

This session will demonstrate the application of Altair HyperWorks to vehicle engineering for the disciplines of 1D, 3D, math and control systems. SolidThinking Compose and Activate software’s are leading technologies for these disciplines.
