Underwater environmental sensor networks require wireless communications that can be obtained using electromagnetic waves. Thus, antenna design is a key factor regarding the global performance of such underwater transmission systems. The study of seawater properties leads to comparing the conduction loss and dielectric loss of an electromagnetic wave. A simulation model of an original antenna design is proposed to optimize link budget underwater communication systems.
