Traditionally used reduced order models are unable to accurately predict wind turbine performance in real world conditions. Therefore, the use of high fidelity models and simulations are needed to understand and analyze the effects of the turbulent atmospheric boundary layer and wake of upstream turbines in order to design and control high-performance wind turbines.
