The inaugural Warwickshire Expo took place at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd March 2013. The official sponsor was Jaguar Land Rover, whose Gaydon research and development centre is located in the county.
The event showcased the best of design, innovation and manufacturing in Warwickshire, and forms part of Warwickshire County Council’s ‘Going for Growth’ initiative which seeks to create a dynamic economic environment that allows firms to grow and prosper in the county. The Expo will highlighted the level of design expertise and innovation that exists in the locality, and the range of potential careers that would be available for Warwickshire residents.
Many of Warwickshire’s leading businessesexhibited, including JLR, MIRA, Codemasters, Alstom and Alliance Medical . Many local training providers were also there, as well as Warwickshire College, North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, Stratford College, the University of Warwick and Coventry University.
The event took place over two days. The first day of the Expo was for schools and colleges and members of the public. The second day focused on business networking.
