Today, “simulation” is everywhere. Almost all industries employ simulation in their product design process – ranging from simple analysis to highly advanced multiphysics studies. Moreover, the complexity of the simulation (or the level of sophistication) is constantly increasing.

Teaching students new (or advanced) simulation disciplines is desirable but definitely a challenge. Looking at some of the related issues, a teacher may feel like jumping onto a treadmill that is already going at full speed:

  • How to integrate new tools and techniques without disrupting the existing class schedule much?
  • How and when updating class notes?
  • What kind of examples/tutorials are best suited?
  • What software packages to use?
